Through the Decarbon8 partnership with E8 Angels, we are excited to announce our investment in Cecilia Energy (CE), which is addressing the plastic waste crisis while producing clean energy. CE commercializes a modular, distributable microwave-based system that upcycles plastic waste into clean hydrogen and performance carbon, specifically carbon nanotubes. This electricity-powered process is highly energy-efficient and can achieve a carbon-neutral profile with renewable grid electrification. By integrating waste plastic processing and hydrogen production, Cecilia’s technology offers a scalable, economically viable solution to reduce plastic waste and produce clean energy, tackling both environmental and economic challenges.
