Samaritan Partners Fund I is creating a more inclusive and accessible world for the Disabled community. The fund hopes to accelerate capital investment and partnership in early-stage, for-profit companies serving the disability sector, while also delivering financial returns. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 1 in 6 people globally are living with at least one significant disability, and the CDC estimates that 1 in 4 American adults live with a disability. Furthermore, the WHO estimates up to 3.5 billion people will need assistive products and services by 2050, demonstrating the critical need for investment in the disability sector. The fund’s pipeline includes 181 companies that focus on six different areas: accessibility (travel), blind/low vision, deaf/hard of hearing, inclusive employment, and mental health.
