The Flip is producing a five-episode documentary series to address the intersection of climate action and economic development in Africa, highlighting the continent’s vulnerability to climate change despite its minimal carbon emissions. The docuseries will showcase innovative climate tech ventures, particularly those led by African and female founders, and emphasize the need for both commercial capital and impact investment to scale these solutions. The initiative aims to inspire greater investment in inclusive climate ventures that improve livelihoods, enhance climate resilience, and reduce emissions. By sharing authentic stories from local founders, the docuseries seeks to reshape perspectives and drive meaningful support for sustainable development in Africa. The Flip’s project has the potential to drive investment and funding in climate ventures and projects in Africa, while also providing necessary, yet often overlooked, context and perspective for this work.
